Q. What is a “spot paint repair”?
A. This is the technique used to repair minor scratches on a bumper or metal panel. For “spot paint” to work, those minor scrapes, stone chips, minor dings, or scratches must be in certain areas. Repainting a bumper with a spot paint repair is not suggested over an entire bumper repair. This type of repair is used for damages on corners, at a bottom or next to a wheel well, and others. Speak with your Ultragloss Automotive Appearance Specialist for more information about our repair process and the ways we can deliver a quality repair, affordably.

Q. How long does a typical paint repair take?
A. It depends on number of factors such as the severity of the damage, the location of that damage, the type of paint repair required, and the size of the damage. Most of our paint repairs take 1-2 days. If you need a vehicle while your vehicle is being repaired, as a preferred Enterprise customer, we pass our discounts on to our customers for as little as $35 a day.

Q. Can I wash my car after the repair?
A. We will not return your vehicle to you in poor shape, there will be no need to wash your vehicle after the repair. We recommend waiting 2-3 days to wash your vehicle and do not wax for 3-4 weeks. This is suggested because it ensures the paint and clear coat fully cure.

Q. How do I know if I need to replace my bumper?
A. Examples where the bumper cannot be repaired are: the panel is too stretched or severe or the bumper is broken in a place where it is attached to the body and the clips cannot hold a bumper. More often than not, we can save you money by fixing your existing bumper opposed to buying a new one. The cost of a new bumper varies by make and model and in the event that you need to replace your bumper, we will ensure you’re getting the best deal. If you have to get a new bumper, they do not come pre-painted. We will happily refinish the bumper for you. We consult with our customers to ensure their needs are met.
